ABOUT US
In Our Own Words

"Emmanuel nourishes my mind, body, and soul.
I feel the presence of Christ in our worship, our people, and even our buildings and grounds."

"To me, Emmanuel represents family.
It is the church where my wife and I were married and where both of our children were baptized.  It is also where I have met some of the most kind, generous, and selfless people I can imagine.  The church family at Emmanuel is a strong one, one that is full of tradition and history.  These people provide one another with a spiritual and emotional support structure that is unlike any I have ever experienced.  Walking into Emmanuel Church is to walk into an oasis of love, acceptance, and understanding.  It is a place where I can set aside the worries of the world and focus on faith, family, and friendship."

What first attracted us to Emmanuel Delaplane was the genuine warmth of the parishioners and the sense of fellowship we experienced at the coffee hour on our first visit.  With 2 small children we were looking for an engaging  Sunday school program and we found that at Emmanuel.  We also looked forward to the monthly Episcoparties that fellow parishoners hosted in their homes.  We thouroughly enjoyed talking to the "older" folks as they had so many interesting and historical stories. When the Delaplane Strawberry Festival was brought back at Sky Meadows we enjoyed working there each year "rain or shine" and felt it helped teach our children a sense of community and an example of volunteering to help others.  We have developed many frienships over the years and feel connected to those who have gone on before.  Emmanuel is a beautiful country church that keeps us focused on God and his mission for us in life.

We love coming to Emmanuel because the environment is nurturing for the kids.
The congregation is inviting, caring, and generous. Emmanuel provides all the members of our family with opportunities to participate in church activities as we wish, and we feel like we have a place here, like it is a family.
