Service is a major part of life at Emmanuel and we are known in the Virginia Diocese as the "can do" church. Our outreach ministries are many and varied and we are also pleased to make our facilities avaliable to a number of organizations involved in community and Christian causes. 

Church members volunteer many hours in a wide range of projects: our own Delaplane Strawberry Festival; Habitat for Humanity; Seven Loaves Food Bank; and numerous other special projects such as the youth's participation in the all-night Relay for Life event.  We send mission teams, both youth and adult, to places within and outside the United States. Recent and planned destinations include Manassas, VA, Pennsylvania, New York, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Indiana, West Virginia, South Carolina and Puerto Rico. 

Our biggest project of the year is the Delaplane Strawberry Festival - a two-day event held over Memorial Day Weekend at Sky Meadows State Park that brings the local and regional community together to enjoy the diverse gifts that God has bestowed on his people, including arts and crafts, food, music, children's games, and the unique beauty of Sky Meadows State Park.  It is a wonderful experience that also brings us closer to God as we serve together as a faith filled community.
