Piedmont Parish originally consisted of two churches, Emmanuel Church in Delaplane and Trinity Church in Marshall. For many years the rector conducted services at both churches until services at Trinity Marshall were terminated in 1995 and, with the approval of the Bishop, the church was leased to another congregation for worship. Today, Emmanuel Church, is the sole member of Piedmont Parish.
Piedmont Parish is a part of the Diocese of Virginia, the second largest diocese in the country.
