2012 Youth Mission Trip

Plans are in the works for the 2012 youth mission trip to Rochester, NY, July 8-14, 2012. This trip is for youth ages 13 and up. If you would like to attend, you must turn in a non-refundable $50 deposit to the church office no later than September 27 in order to reserve your spot. Please make checks payable to Emmanuel Episcopal Church. The total cost of the trip will be determined once all the numbers are in, obviously the more people that attend, the lower the cost of the trip. Youth will be participating in a Group Work Camp in Rochester, NY. A Group Work Camp is a big, high energy camp experience where youth will serve people in need through challenging home repair projects! For six days, they’ll join other youth groups to repair sagging porches, rebuild unsafe steps and wheelchair ramps, and paint homes. They’ll transform a house and God will transform their faith.
The group will be encouraged daily through prayers, group devotions, and evening worship services. The interdenominational worship programs are designed specifically for youth. Programs are designed to be high energy and high impact and feature popular Christian music, professionally produced videos, and challenging presentations, all designed to help the youth take their faith to the next level. Activities are scheduled every evening that will provide plenty of opportunity to get to know the other youth from all across the country. Group Work Camps has been offering this balance of Christian service, faith and fun for over 23 years!
